By joining WallingfordSaves you join over thirty Wallingford merchants in supporting each other. When you join, other businesses become informed about your business, and thus are able to tell their customers about you. Thus when someone asks about other services/businesses in the neighborhood, and you provide that service, you get referrals.
Knowing about the program encourages local residents to save money by patronizing local businesses. From comments that we've collected and/or overheard in the two plus years that the program has been active, we know that customers appreciate the program, and when told about it will go out of their way to patronize businesses that participate.
